About Bushworks Rustic Design

Bushworks Design is a story about a creative musician who found love with a talented woodworker, and together they launched Bushworks Rustic Design in 2010.

 

 

What started as a hobby creating custom pieces for friends and family, now has turned into making beautiful dining tables for families all over British Columbia, including one featured in the Vancouver TV show, “Love It Or List It” with Jillian Harris and Todd Talbot.

Who does the day to day work you might ask? Jared takes charge of buying the wood, measuring, sanding and building the pieces (aka: the real work!), while Sonja plays a crucial role in handling all the administrative work, importing complimentary dining chairs, and occasionally staining the tables to perfection.

Together, we form a unique partnership where our passion for artistry and craftsmanship intertwine to create beautiful and functional dining room pieces that will become a treasured heirloom for years to come. 

Our 4 children? Well, they keep us on our toes finding creative ways to help sand pieces, test chairs, carry boxes to customers and overall root for our small business.

 

 

When not tending to the demands of Bushworks orders, you’ll find us biking or hiking one of the many trails found in the Lower Mainland as well as attending fabulous concerts local to our area!
